Lord Mayor's Mansion, Bristol
Restoring and replicating cast iron balusters.
Bristol City Council chose Dorothea Restorations to carry out the restoration of the original ornate cast iron balusters on the internal staircase at the Lord Mayor’s Mansion House in Bristol.
Our team of craftsmen carried out repairs to the original balusters, and then prepared designs for replica pieces where originals were missing or past repair.
These were cast by a local foundry and hand finished in our Bristol works, prior to installation on site.
