Case Study
Quakers Friars, Bristol

Extensive restoration and new-build architectural metalwork as part of the massive Cabot Circus regeneration project in Bristol.

Quakers Friars, located
in the new Cabot Circus Shopping complex in central Bristol, was originally part
of a Dominican Friary dating back to 1230.

In the mid eighteenth century, parts of the building became a Quakers
Meeting house.

Working with our parent company Linford-Bridgeman, teams from Dorothea Restorations undertook a series of metalwork restoration projects throughout the site.

These included repairing and manufacturing new metal windows, refurbishing the existing cast iron guttering, and manufacturing new wrought iron railings
for the courtyard garden.

These historic buildings have now been given a new lease of life, with
a sensitive conversion into a new Raymond Blanc restaurant.
