in specialist metalwork, combining a thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering principles with the hands-on experience of many years in the field.
To ensure these skills and principles are handed on the next
generation of craftsmen and women, Dorothea Restorations runs
its own apprenticeship programme in partnership with the Brunel Training Group in Bristol and Stockport Engineering Training Association (SITA) in Stockport.

- Carbon fibre wrapping of steel to recreate 100% of the strength of the original item
- Wrought iron welding
- Pressed decorative zinc
- Decorative copper roofing techniques
- Curved and bent glazing in iron structures, including double-glazing
