Case study: Greenfield Place Cast Iron Balustrades
These Victorian terraced houses had a slate balcony with cast iron balustrades, at first floor level; which were in need of specialist restoration and repair.
Dorothea Restorations was involved in the replacement of many of the slate panels that make up the balcony deck, as they were suffering from cracking and weathering that had left them unsafe.
The cast iron balustrades was cleaned and repaired at the same time before final repainting and fixing back onto the new slate to complete the restoration works.
