Case study: Regent Quarter, Kings Cross London Glazed Canopy
Dorothea Restorations was asked to refurbish and relocate the glass canopy as part of the Regent Quarter Regeneration Project in Kings Cross, London.
The restoration works began when the original glazed canopy was dismantled and moved to a new location on the same site between two new buildings.
The structure was then tagged and dismantled into component pieces, refurbished and re erected in its new location with new curved laminated glass. The challange was keeping the two sides level and parellel when the buildings tapered.
